ASSESSMENT

ESP assessments stand out from the average.

We select our AC mandates very specifically. Only when we are convinced that our competencies and quality expectations match the assignment and that we can implement your needs in terms of content, time and personnel, do we accept an assignment.

When we take on an assignment, our focus is on effective goal achievement. We do not do mandates “on the side”. Thanks to ESP’s close involvement in the relevant research landscape, our assessments are up-to-date with regard to current scientific findings.

Unlike the competition, we are thereby:

CLOSER TO THE CUSTOMER: With us there are no generic function profiles.
We seek to understand the breadth and depth of the client’s needs and the circumstances of their concern. To this end, we invest more resources in an intensive clarification of the order and ensure that the requirements profile and exercise facilities are suitable from the customer’s point of view to conclusively answer his questions. If, despite our best efforts, we are still unable to answer a question, we will tell you straight away.

CLOSER TO REALITY: We do not have generic assessments. that are artificially constructed.
Through intensive research and dialogue with our clients, we develop simulations that accurately reflect the reality of the intended function, organization and its business environment. In this way, we improve the prediction of candidate performance and make statements about the behavioral and performance spectrum of candidates in specific and realistic work environments.

CLOSER TO THE CANDIDATE: We don’t stress candidates out of principle.
Assessments lead to nervousness in most candidates due to their accompanying circumstances (evaluation of one’s own person by unknown persons on the basis of unknown tasks in the context of an application that is significant for the candidates). However, the most reliable assessment of performance is achieved in a benevolent-constructive atmosphere. We therefore meet candidates at eye level. Stress is only generated where it is an explicitly meaningful part of the requirement profile.
To better understand candidate behavior in the simulations, we consistently and systematically reflect with candidates on each assessment exercise.
This reduces the need to work with hypotheses when assessing performance in the assessment and thus improves the prediction of candidate performance.

CLOSER TO SCIENCE: We don’t use half-baked testing procedures. If the customer wants this, we are not the right partner for him.
We only use tests and questionnaires that meet the test quality criteria of scientific psychodiagnostics.
The development and implementation of our assessments consistently meet the quality standards of good assessment centers from Swiss Assessment.

Thus, assessments booked with ESP are guaranteed to be scientifically sound and the insights thus gained can be practically implemented by the client with regard to successful personnel decisions.

Prof. Dr. Alice J. Lee

Alice Lee is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior in the ILR School at Cornell University in Ithaca NY. As an enthusiastic researcher and lecturer, specializing in areas such as negotiations and social processes, she contributes to our scientific foundation.

Her research explores the dynamics of social influence, where one person makes an overture toward another in the hopes of achieving a particular economic or subjective outcome, such as asking a colleague for help or seeking a concession from a negotiation counterpart. Her focus goes beyond the objective outcomes to understand the social gains and losses that emerge from an influence attempt in negotiations, including its effects on long-term relationships and reputations.

She is deeply passionate about pursuing research and sharing knowledge on negotiations. She teaches various courses on this subject at both the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels at Cornell University and is a member of the Scheinman Institute on Conflict Resolution.

Prof. Dr. iur. JEAN-PAUL VUILLIÉTY

Jean-Paul Vulliéty is a full professor of business and contract law at the University of Geneva and a lawyer in Geneva.

After 25 years as a partner with Lalive AG, an internationally renowned Geneva-based law firm specializing in dispute resolution, he is now Senior Counsel with Des Gouttes & Associés in Geneva, a smaller law firm that is also very active internationally in the areas of business law and commercial dispute resolution. As an attorney, he advises companies in complex international negotiations and he has rich expertise as arbitrator and counsel in commercial arbitrations.

He also publishes regularly in legal journals and, as a militia officer, is involved in various Swiss Army assessment centers as a moderator and assessor for the selection of professional officers and candidates to a career in the general staff.

In his private life, he enjoys spending time with his family, especially his three children who are currently studying at universities in Switzerland and abroad.
